Face shape	Symmetrical faces are highly valued.	The ideal face shape is a heart shape.
Skin Tone	Women who have a tan are considered prettier.	Porcelain skin is considered ideal.

What features make a woman beautiful in America vs China.

China and America are obviously two different countries. There are a lot of cultural differences in food, education, and beauty. Each country has established its own beauty standards, and for western people like us, Chinese ideal beauty may sound strange or crazy and vice versa. During this composition, we explore the most noteworthy features that are different in both countries. 

First, The eyes in China are a big deal.  Almond-shaped eyes are preferred over narrow slits, girls there frequently go to surgery in order to make their eyes appear larger and more open like westerners; fake lashes, eyelid tape, or contact lenses are used to make the illusion of a bigger eye. In contrast, in America a heavier eyelid is not seen as a bad thing, this makes people look more exotic like a Spanish appeal. 

Second, Lips are important as well. In China people tend to appreciate small or “cherry lips”, big lips are not well seen, a common nickname for those who have this type of lips in China are called “sausage lips”. On the other hand, in America is actually the opposite because plump lips are a more attractive and sensuous feature. 

Third, the face shape has its own ideal in each country. While in China a heart face shape is considered perfect (this means small point at the chin, no double chin either fat on the face) in America is completely different, there symmetrical faces are highly valued; most movie stars in America are considered so attractive because their faces are symmetrical.

Forth, Skin tone is something totally different! In china girls with very white skin or porcelain skin are the most beautiful. In China, there is a huge market of moistures and toners in order to bleach the skin whereas in America women with a tan are considered the most attractive, especially in beach- sides places. 

In conclusion, all women are beautiful.  Beauty is something subjective, it seems that people are always regarding foreign as being beautiful; in other words, beauty is such subjective that what is beautiful for some may be ugly others, furthermore, we are always trying to change ourselves, western people want to be tan, while Asian people from Philippines or Indonesia try to bleach their skin, etc. No matter if our lips, nose, eyes look different, all women are beautiful in their way.
