Legally Blonde (2001)

(Great)

Director: Robert Luketic

Genre: Comedy

Running Time: 96 minutes

Even though this movie called “Legally blonde” which may sound misleading it is more than this, and gives a valuable lesson to girls. It all started when Elle Woods (Reese Witherspoon) which is also a popular girl from a Club Delta Nu, broke up with her boyfriend. Devasted Elle went through a depression, during this moment in order to save her relationship Elle decided to go to University, where her ex studies. She planned this because she wanted him back. After so much effort Elle is finally accepted at Harvard and this is where this amazing story begins.

So I like this movie because despite Elle was the typical stereotype of a blonde girl, she was more than that and she showed it. Going to Harvard and study Laws was initially a challenge and she took it, showing her strength and self- confidence from the beginning. Firsts classes were rough for our Elle, it was an environment she was not used to, she was more used to hang out with friends, buy clothes, shoes, and purses but not anything related to studies.

Time passed and many of us would have bet that Elle will give up the University, but she did not. After a discussion, she had with her ex-boyfriend where he told her that “she was not intelligent” she decided to take control of the situation and change it in favor. She decided to study more and be more dedicated, the first results started coming, and teachers noticed them. At the end of the movie, the message is clear, no matter how hard things may be, no matter how difficult maybe, do not give up, just as Elle did.

In my personal opinion, Elle was quite brave she took a big challenge and transformed it into the best opportunity of her life. For the ones reading this, all I can say is, you may have been tagged as a fool boy or girl or something like that, but it is only true if you believe, you have clearly two options staying there or change it, one does anything, but the other one will enhance your life, is up to your decision.

Finally, be an Elle in all aspects of your life, give the best of you. Take challenges with no fear, instead, look at them as a personal opportunity to grow up in life.  If you start having another perspective of life you will attract to you blessings and positive situations. But as I said before that change has to come from you, not because someone told you that you have to change.
